Photo/Video of The Day
April 5, 2008It’s been a while since we’ve posted one, so here it goes. Check Ensen out on Maui. I’m no dancer, so I guess Kelly’s genes get credit for this one. Enjoy!

Our little “Guitar Hero.”
Ensen can’t seem to get enough of playing my acoustic guitar these days. Every chance he gets, we find him in our bedroom pounding and strumming away. Here he is playing his rendition of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters.” Okay, I’m exaggerating, but one of these days he will be…I’m certain.

If you aren’t convinced that Apple’s iPhone is one of the coolest things since American inventor Oliver Evans designed the first refrigeration machine in 1805, you may want to think again. Not only does it serve as a multimedia communications tool (e-mail, web, chat, text, etc.) and iPod music player, it also takes killer photos like the one above by Dave (Kelly’s dad) on the windward side of Oahu.
What will the folks at Apple think of next? Whatever it is, I’m sure it will be practical and very cool.

OH, YES IT DOES!
The Haleakala Summit on Maui was closed today due to snow and ice according to a news report from KGMB 9 News. The entire state of Hawaii has been experiencing “winter like” conditions with colder than usual temperatures during the day and night and stormy wet weather. Another news report on the KGMB site also reports hail falling in Kona on Hawaii’s Big Island and also provides some great photos.
I have to admit that I personally like it when its gets a little cooler here in the islands. The rain I can do without though. I guess we’ll need to keep the windows shut and break out an extra blanket or two over the next few days. Stay warm!

Ensen is definitely a morning person as evidenced by this video. As soon as he wakes up he’s all smiles and ready to play, play, play! It doesn’t get much better than seeing his cheerful face each morning before taking him to the sitter and heading to work.

It didn’t take long for Ensen to figure out how to play with this toy. I came home from work one day to learn that he discovered how to get the balls out of the gum ball machine on his own!
