The week that has come too soon!

Hard to believe it’s already been six months since Ensen arrived on June 12. Our decision to keep Kelly home for an extra three months to care for the little guy was absolutely the right move for so many reasons. But as the saying goes “all good things must come to an end” and this is the week we’ve been dreading since September.

Kelly goes back to work tomorrow and Ensen officially begins going to his sitter full-time. To get us ready for this monumental occasion, I took the last couple days off so we could figure everything out. What time we need to wake up, get him ready, get ourselves ready, and so on. Ensen’s first day at the sitter “part-time” was yesterday and we took him again today. As anticipated, he’s not liking the sitter a whole lot quite yet, but he’s getting better everyday. The family photo above was taken before we left the house on Monday to forever memorialize the day. We’ll see how things go tomorrow when we actually leave him for a nine hour day with the sitter. 😦

It’s really been an awesome experience watching Ensen develop over the past six months. He’s now on the verge of crawling (see the video above), has two bottom teeth coming in, is eating baby food, and loves to put everything within arms reach into his mouth. The last couple of weeks have been exceptionally enjoyable, so I’m posting a bunch of random photos of the little fella taken recently. Enjoy!

The day Ensen leaves home for college won’t be any easier. I definitely know the feeling. 😦
