No Time for Recession. Kids Are Expensive!

Now that Ensen is approaching 14-months-old and has eclipsed the 20 lb. mark, it was time to get him out of his infant seat and into a toddler seat. The mission last night was to purchase a Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 MultiUse Car Seat from Walmart and get the kid facing future. I’m glad to say it was mission accomplished…I think.

These seats don’t come cheap and after spending $180 we were on our way home with a new chair for the little one. OUCH, but at least it’s styling, matches the car, and will last us a bunch of years.

Based on the ride to the sitter this morning, it was money well spent. Ensen is enjoying his ride so much better now that he can see out the windows and make funny faces with me in the rear view mirror. πŸ™‚ Here’s some photos of his ride to the sitter yesterday.

If there’s a recession going on it surely doesn’t feel like it when you have a baby. These kids are expensive, but what can you do but spend money. It is what it is.

Kristen, thanks for the vote of confidence. Ensen’s been enjoying this chair to no end. Always a good sign. Plus it looks super stylish in our RAV4. πŸ™‚

You made a good buy. We also made the trek out to the Kunia Walmart to purchase this seat a few months back. I like that it has the five-point harness that can be used up until 65 lbs since the standard is 40 lbs. You haven’t met Cody yet, but let’s just say he’s a big boy for his age. So, this seat is perfect for him! Ensen looks great in it.

A small price to pay when you’re transporting PRECIOUS cargo.
