My How Hanging Out With Friends Has Changed

Posted: September 29, 2008 by Nathan Kam in Family & Friends

It wasn’t too long ago that the typical afterwork or weekend hangout spot was a sports bar or nightclub. But ever since the arrival of Ensen, that lifestyle has changed significantly for Kelly and me. Not only do we hardly go to bars and clubs anymore, but a lot of our friends are having children too. So it’s not like we’re missing out on a whole lot. Many of our friends have adjusted their lifestyles and we’re all focused on raising our families. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Nowadays, we spend a lot more time at each others homes so the kiddies can play together. This weekend was no exception as our friend Tricia threw a birthday party for my pal Brad at her parent’s house. Ensen had fun playing with their daughter Lia (now 9-months-old as seen above and below) and all the other kids there. It was great to just kick back and watch in one of those “proud parent” moments.

Also a belated congratulations to our friends Lorne and Nicole who are new parents as well following the arrival of their daughter Kenzie just two months ago. Great to see more of our friends joining the “first time parents club.”

Ditto on that! Hanging out with friends has definitely changed since the arrival of little bundles of joy. It was great seeing you folks at Brad’s birthday. I just started a blog as well, mainly for our family that’s on Big Island or on the mainland. It’s not a public one though so give me your email and I’ll add you on!
