Kelly, Ensen, and Kailua Grandpa pose before we head out to get some candy.

So does the headline of this blog post live up to the hype we have cast upon our son as the cutest little UPS delivery guy in Honolulu (possibly Hawaii)? Kelly and I think so. πŸ™‚ So the next time you’re asked “what can brown do for you?”, just remember it might be this little guy making the delivery.

Kam family had a great Halloween last night in Kailua with family and friends. Thought it was a little damp, Kailua Grandpa lives in one spirited neighborhood where everyone (and I mean everyone) gets in to the Halloween spirt with haunted houses, decorated yards and driveways, and so much more.

"Mom look at that! What is that? That looks pretty cool! Can I have one?"

It was also the first time trick or treating for Ensen which was extra special. He walked door-to-door asking for candy, pointing at a lot of weird stuff he’s never seen before like zombies, and overall had a great time getting a lot of attention for his UPS costume (which Kelly made by sewing a logo on to a brown shirt and borrowing the visor from a friend). Here’s a few more photos to recap the night.

Mommy and Ensen. Look at that kid's face! So sweet!

From left: Uncle Kevin and a UPS delivery guy after a long shift. Don’t worry, that bottle was empty and just a prop! We also ran into an Aloha Maid can of juice. This costume was homemade and really cool.

Our friends Amy and Jon dropped by with their son Kyle.

From left: Mommy helping Ensen make his deliveries around the neighborhood. Kim and Glen look pretty damn scary.

Say cheese!

Cruising the neighborhood and checking out all the Halloween decorations.

Dote: Aren’t kids wonderful? Halloween was lacking some some pizzaz the past few years…but now that the little guy is here, it gives holidays in general a whole new meaning. See you on Twitter.

Kona Grandpa & Grandma: Please stop embarrassing me on my own blog. LOL! πŸ™‚ If you find that photo, we’ll have to do a follow up post comparing the two. I’m almost certain I would be cuter. πŸ˜‰

Sandy: Where you’re Halloween blog post? LOL! Ensen enjoyed this Halloween quite a bit. He got a kick out of seeing all the different kids dressed up and all the spooky decorations. We’ll have to get into the spirit next year and dress up as well. Why am I not surprised you folks had a Halloween party even though it’s not a big deal there? Viggo is so cute…sounds like me when I was little…a little chicken. πŸ™‚

Yikes, at first I thought it was Kelly, Ensen and you! Yes, Ensen is adorable, especially when he is gleefully running through the pumpkin patch! Halloween is not a big holiday here, in fact, it’s just catching on. We had a little party at our place which is perfect since it’s right next to a church and graveyard!! SPOOKY! I even downloaded some spooky music for the party and Viggo’s comment was, “Is it gonna get more spooky than this? Cuz I’m already afraid!” BOO!

  3. Nathan…you were adorable dressed as Superman on your first Trick or Treat in Manoa. Sure wish we had a photo to post.
We’re looking forward to the “little man in brown” making another delivery (appearance) in Kona.

Too cute! he he he, looks like you had a great halloween. The decorative thingy in the first photo was scary! The Aloha Maid costume was great!!

Kona Grandpa and Grandma: I wouldn’t have expected you two to say anything different. Maybe next year you can come and spend Halloween with us too.

Caro: I don’t check out the UPS guys downtown, so I wouldn’t know how our son stacks up to them, but thanks for your insight. LOL! πŸ˜‰

Fran: The neighborhood my father in laws house lives in in Kailua goes all out for every occasion. New Years is probably THE best. Glad to know you folks still managed to have fun.

He’s definitely the cutest! Trick or treating in a neighborhood that goes all out is the best. Sadly, our little neighborhood was lacking in Halloween spirit. The kids still had fun as we went around in a group with our neighbors. Glad you all had fun too!

OH CUTE! πŸ™‚ How come the downtown UPS guys never looks like that? πŸ˜‰

  8. No doubt about it. Ensen is definitely the cutest little UPS guy ever. What a difference a year makes.
