I came across  Metallica’s new video “All Nightmare Long” off their album Death Magnetic on YouTube tonight and had to do a double take. I was expecting to see something heavy with a powerful storyline and visual images…something along the lines of “One.”

But what they did instead was something like I’ve never seen from them before. Something that left me scratching my head as I watched it. No sight of any band members and some of the most intriguingly weird footage I’ve ever seen. What in the heck is this “dust spore” called Cnopbl? Is this real? Is this make believe? What the hell is it period? All I know is that it’s pretty freaky and I hope it’s not true. Check out the video below and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Metallica fan or not it’s worth watching.

After watching the video, I did a little more investigating online and came across this vlog by Metallica’s lead guitarist Kirk Hammett. Turns out, he bought this footage off a guy in Russia a while ago while the band was on tour. As you can see from his reaction, even he doesn’t know what it all means. Propoganda? Some kind of intelligence from a laboratory? Something to worry about in the future? He basically leaves it up to us to decide.

So what do you think this is all about? I’m still trying to figure it out myself. Please leave a comment if you have any thoughts.

I’ve never been big on dancing and am no good at it until this day. I admit I’ve got “two left feet” but it doesn’t really matter to me. I go to clubs for the beer anyway, not the dancing. 🙂 And who am I kidding? Finding me in a club these days is like seeing Halley’s Comet.

But despite my inability to shake my booty on the dance floor, I do envy those that can which probably explains why I’m hooked on shows like So You Think You Can Dance.

So when Kelly shared this Evolution of Dance video (see below) on YouTube with me last night, I couldn’t peel myself away from the monitor. This guy Judson Laipply is hilarious and amazing. If only I could move like him, maybe I’d have a video with more than 99 million views. Then again probably not. Check it out!

I share with you a couple of oldies, but goodies. These news bloopers are a permanent fixture on my YouTube “favorites” list. I’ll let these FOX News anchors speak for themselves.

Super Bowl Sunday is here and while we’re getting ready to head down to Kailua
to watch the game, some goofing around on YouTube this morning produced the following discovery. Some very creative souls with too much time on their hands simulated today’s game between the New England Patriots and New York Giants by “Tecmo-izing The Super Bowl.” Based on the video game from way back in the day, this is pretty classic. Check it out for yourself. BTW, I like the outcome!

It’s true. I’m addicted to YouTube. Heck, it’s often times a better source of entertainment that what’s on television. And it’s amazing what you can find there. So when Kelly’s sister Kim’s boyfriend Glen introduced me to a band of 10-year-old rockers called Still Pending the other night, it turned another ordinary Thursday into a night of music excellence.

Check these kids out…they are amazing…and if we had the budget, I’d seriously hire them to play at Ensen’s first birthday part next year.
